Thank you for joining Jessup Music for Night of Classics 2023. The Night of Classics Concert Series has evolved over the past decade as a fundraiser dinner into a multi-concert series. Originally featuring the University Choir, Night of Classics now features three performance ensembles: the University Choir & Orchestra, Jessup Concert Choir, and Crossroads.

Night of Classics serves many purposes for Jessup Music, the first being student experiential learning. Jessup Music students are integrated into all areas of production, including tech setup, arranging music, marketing the event, and learning to perform different styles of music.

Themes over the years have included American folk, Americana, Broadway, best of the Grammy’s, Classical, music from the cinema, and R&B.

Another purpose of Night of Classics is to raise funds for recording, touring, and purchases of gear and equipment that are necessary to create a real-world experience for students who will soon be working professionals in the field of music. Fall 2023 launched new curriculum, which includes a music specialization in Commercial Music and Audio Recording. Jessup Music’s brand new recording studio, launching February 2023, will allow students to work with software, microphones, and other tools that will enhance the learning experience and give them professional-level recordings to add to their commercial music portfolio. Without the support of our Jessup Music patrons, this would not be possible.  Tickets are a suggested donation, and we thank you for your patronage for the Night of Classics concert series.
